Lawrence is a creative artist originally from Cleveland OH.

These mono prints images were made into One of One pieces screen-printed photos on Reeves paper with oil pastel sketches.

In our fast paced society we are often held to high standards.
The focus of these pieces are to embrace the imperfections in ourselves and finding beauty in the world around us.

20×24 $700 photo print on metal – The Unraveling – A slide left to sit in an abandoned Brooklyn lot. This liminal subject illustrates the excess resources that go to waste in a world where we can’t afford to waste anything.

Eco Capsules are images compiled regarding nature that we inhabit in on a daily basis. Opening in Satellite Gallery’s new Lower East Side location at 279 Broome St, the exhibition is a one night only pop up opening on April 2, 2024 from 5-8 pm. 

Julie Schabel will be showing new large scale screen print collages. The prints highlight the technical skill of screen printing Julie has mastered over her 15 year art career. Drawing themes from nature all around her she layers the elements of her environment in repetitious patterns and bold colors. She transforms natural imagery into bold 3ft prints that take over the micro gallery walls.

These compositions are collage like, using found images and the artist’s own photographs of wildlife and foliage to compile the prints. The prints are compiled from sketches made while immersed in nature in Julie’s home town of Cleveland Ohio. 

Prints by Arabella Proffer and Kaitlyn Overton will also be displayed.

Together the artists works form the Eco Capsules that can be viewed as an extremely brief consideration for viewers of this One Night Only show.
